Cross-Country Skiing and Snowshoeingat Bohart Ranch - 16621 Bridger Canyon Road,Bozeman MT 59715
Bohart Ranch was founded in 1987 and named after its former owners. It is known for its wide 15-foot trail width and impeccable trail grooming. At 6,100 foot elevation there are no altitude problems. Trail fees are $15 for adults and fees for 7-12 year olds are only $8. Skiers over 70 and under 6 years old ski free. Rental equipment is $15 for adults and $10 forr kids aged 12 or younger. XC skating equipment is $20 and snowshoes are $15.
The Adventure in Winter Ecology (AWE), which is partnered with the Montana Outdoor Science School and features games on skis, lunch on the trail, and hands-on exploration. It starts at 9:30 AM for $14. There is also a Half Day program for $8 per child. The 5-week programs are $50 and they include a Classic Clinic; Adult Women's Beginner Skate Clinics, and Women's Intermediate Skate Clinics; Adult Co Ed skate/classic program, Youth program for 5th-8th graders. RIDE the STREAMLINE BUS TO BOHART - FREE! Weekend and holiday days from Dec 12 arriving at 8:50 AM, 12:40 PM, and 2:20 PM. Departs from Bohart at 11:15 AM, 1:05 PM and 4 PM. Directions: From I-90 the Main Street Exit to downtown Bozeman. One mile turn right onto Rouse Ave. North which becomes Bridger Canyon Road (Hwy 86) for 16.6 miles. Bohart is past mile marker 16 on the left. From the airport, turn left on Frontage Road and go 10 miles. At the 2nd set of stoplights, turn left onto Griffin Drive, go 1 miles and turn left on Rouse Ave. North and follow as above.
